Applying to Mentorship is a Two-Step Process Mentorship at Creature Conserve is a 6-month program (October through March) designed to support mentees as they explore the human connection to nature and create new art-sci pathways for wildlife conservation. Applying to Mentorship is a two-step process. The first step is participation in our FREE TWO-DAY virtual Mentorship Workshop from 10 AM - 2 PM on August 2 and 9, 2026. Asynchronous participation can be accommodated. Register BY August 1, 2026. The Workshop, led by Mentorship Director Derek Russell, is designed to serve as a catalyst for creative ideas embedded within the art-sci collaborative process. Through a series of case studies, participants learn the science behind hot topics in wildlife conservation, and then work in groups to design and develop artistic responses, with the support of Mentors and leading experts who work the field. Anyone can take the workshop, regardless of whether they wish to pursue mentorship. Prospective mentees must complete the two-day workshop. Questions?
