Ava Varszegi:
2024 Exhibiting Artist

Six-spotted Tiger Beetle
Ava Varszegi’s "Six-spotted Tiger Beetle" illustration was exhibited in “We All Live Here Together: Connecting to Conservation Locally,” curated by Creature Conserve Fellow Kotone Deguchi and on view at the Providence Public Library (August 2024).
AVA VARSZEGI learned to draw before she could talk and has been a quiet observer ever since. Her fondness of the natural world has eased its way into my art, which now focuses on natural science illustration. She’s a kinesthetic learner who prefers traditional media, most recently watercolor and colored pencil. She currently unicycles around Providence, where she enjoys finding flowers in sidewalk cracks and birds perched in unexpected places.
