CHRISTOPHER KONDRICH is a poet, editor, and educator. His most recent book of poetry, Tread Upon, is forthcoming (Copper Canyon Press.) He is co-editor, along with Lucy Spelman and Susan Tacent of Creature Needs: Writers Respond to the Science of Animal Conservation (University of Minnesota Press) to be published in January 2025. His book Valuing (University of Georgia Press, 2019), was a winner of the National Poetry Series and a Library Journal best book of the year. His poetry and essays appear widely in such publications as The Believer, The Kenyon Review, Los Angeles Review of Books, The New York Review of Books, The Paris Review and The Yale Review. He holds an MFA from Columbia University’s School of the Arts and a PhD in English & Literary Arts from the University of Denver. He has taught poetry as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the College of the Holy Cross, as a Writer-in-Residence at the State University of New York at New Paltz, and is currently a faculty member for Eastern Oregon University’s low-residency MFA in Creative and Environmental Writing.
