The Creature Fair
The Creature Fair is an event where visual art, live music, and educational design invite guests to engage in dialogue with scientists who live, work, and are engaged in creature conservation in the state of Rhode Island. It features a series of colorful booths designed by artists who worked with the scientists to find out more about their work. The Creature Fair embraces art-sci collaboration as a foundation for fresh, playful, impactful dialogue. The first fair was held on Earth Day 2026.
KERI KING Keri King is a cross-disciplinary artist based in Providence, Rhode Island. Immersive storytelling and collaborative world-building are at the core of her work, with a vibrant creative practice that spans the disciplines of public art, illustration, writing, and design for theater. Keri has worked with a dynamic assortment of Rhode Island-based organizations to produce public-facing artwork and live events, including AS220, the Wilbury Theatre Group, Providence Art, Culture & Tourism, and the Steel Yara. An experienced educator, Keri taught general art for 15 years and oversaw the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at the Gordon School (2022-25).
As a 2025-26 Creature Conserve Curatorial Fellow, Keri curated The Providence Creature Fair on Earth Day.
